JOE CARNEY
“HOMELESS MAN”

Joe Carney began making audiences laugh nearly 20 years ago opening for bands down the Jersey shore. Since then his career has brought him everywhere from small comedy clubs to headlining casinos in Atlantic City as well as being cast in national commercials and starring roles in film. Joe’s comedy is multi-dimensional. His stand-up act, performed nightly at clubs in Manhattan such as Broadway comedy club and Stand-up NY, brings audiences into his daily home life, as a dad and husband, as well as trips down memory lane about growing up in a large family with a “larger than life” mother. His love for comedy brought him into the world of improvisation. Having worked with numerous Improv troupes over the years, Joe found his calling as half of the comedy duo McDonald and Carney. This two man powerhouse of funny has headlined Atlantic Citys Tropicana and the Taj Mahal as well as comedy festivals all over the east coast. Return engagements for annual fundraisers and charities are what makes him the happiest. The ability to help organizations raise money, for people in need, is the greatest feeling in the world. TV spots on MTV, TruTV and commercials helped Joe get cast in INDIE favorite “Opening Fright” and “Eternal Damned Nation” which was shown at the Cannes Film Festival. Joes ability to impersonate celebrities as well as create his own characters gets him noticed by casting directors and audiences alike. There hasn’t been a show where an audience member hasn’t commented on his “Cowardly Lion” or “Forrest Gump”. Inserting famous characters into not so typical situations is his specialty. Once you see Joe perform, whether it’s stand-up or Improv, you’ll be hooked. You feel welcome and at home, like you’ve known him forever. The only thing better than laughing at Joe’s humor is laughing along with him.
